Description: Police Officers Grant, Edward Crabtree and Hugh Osborne were fatally shot in an exchange of gunfire by suspects wanted for beating a former officer the day before. The officers went to the residence with a warrant and called on the barricaded suspects to surrender. The suspects answered with gunfire. The officers were shot and died at the scene. Two police officers were wounded but survived. The residence was set on fire and which killed one suspect. Two other suspects were killed while attempting to escape. Three suspects were arrested.
