Description: Deputy Gillespie was killed in a motorcycle accident while in pursuit of a motorist who matched the description of a vehicle wanted in connection with an armed robbery. As Deputy Gillespie drove alongside the suspect vehicle, he was struck head-on by a truck. Deputy Gillespie was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries two days later.
