Description: Sheriff Goodman was shot as he attempted to arrest a suspect wanted on a charge of forgery in connection with the purchase of some horses. Sheriff Goodman was shot in the leg and died shortly after. Frank Goodman, son of Sheriff Goodman, led the posse which arrested his father's assailant.
