Description: Deputy Garlick and Private Scott Russell were attacked and beaten with an axe when they went to a residence to serve a warrant. The suspect was not there. However, the suspect's family attacked both lawmen. The brother of the suspect pulled a gun and fatally shot Private Russell and Deputy Garlick.
