Description: Deputy Marshal Guyse was shot and killed by a local farmer while attempting to settle a dispute between two rival ranches. The Casey Family Ranch cut off the water supply to the Circle "D" Ranch creating a feud between the two ranches. Marshal Guyse was sent to settle the fight and restore water to the Circle "D" Ranch. As Marshal Guyse approached the Casey Family residence, Mr. Casey shot him five times. The suspect was charged with murder of a U.S. Marshal.
