Description: Chief Deputy Sheriff Greer and three other officers had just provided testimony in federal court in Fort Smith and were returning back to headquarters in Texarkana when their patrol car skidded over loose gravel and flipped over. Deputy Greer, who was driving, suffered multiple injuries and died at the hospital four days later. The other officers survived.
