Description: Master Deputy Sheriff Hodges was killed in a boating accident while participating in marine patrol training. Deputy Hodges and another deputy were ejected from the boat during a boating maneuver when the propeller struck the officer and held him underwater. Deputy Hodges was pulled from the water and he was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The other deputy sustained non-life threatening injuries.
