Description: Officer Hearn was stabbed when he was approached by two men who were drinking and causing a public disturbance. One of the men pulled a knife and stabbed Officer Hearn in the abdomen. Officer Hearn was able to club his assailant and take the knife and a pistol before he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was arrested but later escaped.
