Description: Officer Hurst was working security at a local bank when a suspect entered the bank and announced a robbery. The suspect immediately shot Officer Hurst twice in the chest. Although mortally wounded, Officer Hurst was able to return fire and strike the suspect in the chest. Officer Hurst was transported to the Grant Medical Center where he died later that evening.
