Description: Officer Hunter was struck and killed by a suspect during a high speed pursuit. A fellow officer had stopped an erratic driver on southbound I-35. The suspect fled the scene and led officers on a high-speed chase. Officer Hunter was attempting to deploy spike sticks when the suspect struck him and his patrol unit. Officer Hunter was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
