Description: Officer Herbert was killed when his patrol car was struck by a suspect's vehicle during a pursuit. Local police were in pursuit of a stolen minivan driven by a juvenile. The suspect vehicle was traveling at an estimated 100 mph when it went airborne and struck Officer Herbert's patrol unit. Officer Herbert was killed instantly and pronounced dead at the scene.
