Description: Deputy Hefner and Oregon State Police Officer Charles Sanders were killed while responding to a family disturbance call in the River Road area. Deputy Hefner was shot in the back and died five months later from his injuries. The suspect shot and killed Officer Sanders then shot and killed himself.
