Description: Undersheriff Hanton was a passenger in an automobile driven by Prosecuting Attorney Richard Holt. They were on their way to investigate reports of bar taverns operating past legal closing time. The automobile crashed into the back of a truck on US-25. Undersheriff Hanton died of blood loss and internal injuries.
