Description: Chief of Police Huckabay and Deputy Sheriff Maurice Miller were shot at the residence of a suspect. Deputy Miller went to the house to serve a nonsupport warrant. The suspect opened fire, killing Deputy Miller. Responding officers surrounded the residence and teargas was deployed. Chief Huckabay led the charge against the barricaded suspect and was shot in the neck. Chief Huckabay was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The officers set fire to the residence and fatally shot the suspect when he emerged.
