Description: Officer Hosli was investigating a warehouse burglary with his canine partner when he was ambushed and fatally shot in the back by the same .44 caliber rifle used to kill Cadet Alfred Harrell earlier that evening. Officer Hosli suffered for three months in a hospital before dying. The sniper shot and killed three other officers during a seven day period before he was shot and killed by police sharpshooters: Deputy Superintendent Louis Sirgo, Officer Paul Persigo and Officer Philip Coleman, Sr.
