Description: Police Officer Hite was mortally wounded as he and a fellow officer were in pursuit of a suspect who had fired shots at a Pima County Sheriff?s Deputy. During the pursuit, the suspect fired at the officers and local residences several times. Officer Hite was shot once in the head and died of his injuries the next day. The suspect was apprehended.
