Description: Deputy Sheriff Humphrey was shot while assisting fellow officers respond to a domestic disturbance call. As Deputy Humphrey was talking to the suspect in an attempt to diffuse the situation, the suspect opened fire with a shotgun and fatally shot him in the chest. Deputy Humphrey died at the scene. The suspect was convicted of second degree murder.
