Description: Deputy Sheriff Hollingsworth was shot as he and a posse attempted to arrest a burglary suspect. The posse split up and searched the countryside for the suspect. When Deputy Hollingsworth failed to show up at the agreed-upon meeting place, the posse searched for him. Deputy Hollingsworth was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest. The suspect was arrested and charged with murder.
