Description: Officer Huber was dispatched to the scene of a "shots Fired" call. As officer Huber sat in his patrol car, he was ambushed by a man wielding a 7 mm rifle. Officer Huber was shot in the head and died instantly. Unbeknownst to Officer Huber, the man had shot and killed Rio Arriba Deputy Sheriff Jerry Martinez and five citizens prior to his arrival. The suspect fled the scene but turned himself in days later. The suspect received a term of four life sentences.
