Description: Sergeant Hunter was shot and killed as he and another officer investigated a suspicious vehicle idling in a Wal-Mart parking lot. As the officers approached the suspicious van, the suspect inside shot them several times. Officer Hunter was shot fatally and died at the scene. The second officer was transported to a local hospital in serious condition but survived.
