Description: Deputy Sheriff Hawkins died of a heart attack the day after responding to a prowler call. Deputy Hawkins was dispatched to a location 20 minutes away to investigate a possible prowler outside of an elderly couple's home. Deputy Hawkins arrived in 17 minutes, driving at a high rate of speed. Deputy Hawkins conducted a search of the residence and the surrounding area without finding any suspects. Deputy Hawkins died of a heart attack while at a family birthday party.
