Description: On November 1, 1957, Police Officer Hickman responded to a motor vehicle crash where a car had struck a large drain tile in the roadway. Officer Hickman attempted to move the drain tile which caused an internal injury. The next month, Officer Hickman had surgery to correct an internal blockage of the abdomen. Officer Hickman died as a result of a post-operative pulmonary embolism a month later on December 6th.
