Description: Patrolman Holland was shot when he and Officer Tom Davidson went to investigate the sound of shots fired in the area of Big Bottom. As the officers questioned a man about the shooting, he became belligerent, retrieved a gun from inside the house and began shooting. The officers returned fire and wounded the suspect. Patrolman Holland died of his injuries three days later.
