Description: Police Officer Holloway was shot and killed while transporting a prisoner to the Orleans Parish Prison. The prisoner was able to free himself from his handcuffs and climb through the partition separating the front and back seats of the vehicle. The prisoner and Officer Holloway struggled and the prisoner shot Officer Holloway in the chest and escaped. Two guns were found in the vehicle, neither were Officer Holloway's. Officer Holloway was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. The suspect was apprehended within 48 hours.
