Description: Superintendent Holcomb was shot twice by a former employee who had been fired for insubordination 18 years prior. Superintendent Holcomb was at the Public Service Building and walking to his office when he was approached by the suspect. Superintendent Holcomb was transported to the hospital where he died during surgery. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
