Description: Officer Hicks was on his way home from work when his car was almost hit by a truck driven by two males. Officer Hicks followed them to an apartment complex. When Officer Hicks got out and showed the men his badge, one suspect shot him in the neck. Officer Hicks became a quadriplegic as a result of his wounds and eventually died as a result of complications.
