Description: On April 20, 1941, Constable Hunt was stabbed as he attempted to take a suspect into custody. The father and brothers of the suspect attempted to free him and stabbed Constable Hunt in the abdomen. Constable Hunt was transported to the hospital where he died as a result of the wound a month later on May 18th. His assailant was convicted of murder and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
