Description: Sergeant Hands was assaulted at the police station by a former acting chief of police. Sergeant Hands and the former chief, Dan Redman, quarreled in front of the station. As Sergeant Hands turned to go inside of the station, Mr. Redman struck him from behind and kicked him in the head. Sergeant Hands died of a fractured skull the next day. His assailant was arrested and charged with murder.
