Description: Deputy Hickox approached a suspicious looking man on the street and ordered the man to stop. The man fired a single fatal shot, striking Deputy Hickox in the throat. The suspect fled but was captured shortly afterward. It was soon learned that the suspect was one of five escaped convicts.
