Description: Deputy Hogue was shot as he and two other deputies conducted a raid of a liquor still and arrested a suspect. The suspect asked the deputies if he could enter his home for some tobacco before going to jail. Deputy Hogue agreed and escorted the suspect inside. The suspect's son emerged from another room and fatally shot Deputy Hogue once in the chest.
