Description: Officer Hopkins was struck on his department motorcycle as he and another officer escorted a funeral detail. Officer Hopkins was in full uniform, and had his emergency light activated when an unknown driver struck his department motorcycle as he and the last few cars entered into the cemetery. Officer Hopkins was transported to a local hospital where he remained in a coma until he succumbed to his injuries six days later.
