Description: Patrolman Hoey was struck by a bus as he attempted to hop on to the running board of the vehicle. Patrolman Hoey was attempting to rescue two boys who were clinging to the back of the bus and were in danger of falling. Patrolman Hoey was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
