Description: Patrolman Hennigar and Patrolman Hickman were pursuing a suspect on their department motorcycle who was wanted in the questioning of an assault. The suspect swerved his car and struck the motorcycle at full speed. The collision threw the motorcycle into the ditch, and the two officers over a strip of land several feet wide and on the interurban tracks. Patrolman Hennigar was fatally when his head struck a rail. Patrolman Hickman was treated for non- life- threating injuries.
