Description: Sergeant Harris was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a burglary suspect. Sergeant Harris and a fellow deputy were on a stakeout to catch a burglary suspect involved in a rash of burglaries, when the suspect entered their cabin and a gun battle ensued. Sergeant Harris was shot twice but managed to shoot and kill the suspect. Sergeant Harris was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
