Description: Officer Houts was shot and killed after making a traffic stop in Montgomery, Alabama. The suspect in the vehicle had been incarcerated for manslaughter and drug possession and was wanted for questioning in a recent drive-by-shooting. As Officer Houts approached the vehicle, he was shot in the head by the suspect. Officer Houts was transported to a local hospital where he died two days later.
