Description: Detective Haws was shot and killed as he investigated a suspicious activity two miles from Ivanhoe, California. Detective Haws, a member of the department?s Tactical Enforcement Patrol Team pulled a vehicle over for a traffic stop. While processing the stop Detective Haws saw a suspicious male suspect in a grove close by. As Detective Haws escorted the suspect out of the grove the suspect produced a semi-automatic weapon and shot him fatally in the head.
