Description: Deputy Sheriff Harvill and Constable William Hood were shot and killed while on patrol. The two officers had walked over to investigate two cars that were parked oddly across from a dancehall they were monitoring. As the officers walked between the two cars, shots were fired from a passenger hiding in one of the cars. Both officers were shot. Deputy Sheriff Harvill died at the scene. Constable Hood succumbed to his injuries five days later.
