Description: Deputy Herzog was killed in an automobile accident while in pursuit of a suspected prowler. While attempting to negotiate a curve, Deputy Herzog's partner lost control of the cruiser and crashed into a tree. Both men were taken to a local hospital where Deputy Herzog was pronounced dead.
