Description: Officer Houston, stationed at the Hunstville Ellis Unit, was supervising six inmates who were cleaning fish in the dining hall. Officer Houston was stabbed 15 times with a fillet knife by an inmate who was serving time for murder. The inmate was tried for the murder of Officer Houston, sentenced to death and died on death row in 2002.
