Description: Constable Hurdleston was in front of his residence when he heard shots being fired. He immediately got his gun and went around the corner to investigate. Constable Hurdleston was shot in the chest and through his heart by a suspect who was intoxicated and creating a disturbance. Constable Hurdleston was able to shoot the suspect once in the chest before he died.
