Description: Detective Holderby and his partner, Detective Howard Roush, were both shot as they exchanged gun fire with a known gangster at the Arcade Hotel. Detective Roush survived but Detective Holderby died at the scene. The suspect fled the scene but was later captured by law enforcement and died of his wounds.
