Description: Automobile accident in Humboldt, South Dakota. Agent Hanson and Marshal Flannery were en-route to serve a warrant. Transportation was limited in 1928 and the officers had to ride with local citizens. It was snowing at the time and the driver became blinded by the storm. The car was hit by a train as they attempted to cross a local railroad crossing, killing both officers and the two local citizens.
