Description: Deputy Hill was off-duty when gunfire was heard outside. According to the department, Deputy Hill "chased the suspects in his private car, and confronted them at a red light. He had stuck a gun in the driver's side car, ordered the passengers out, when the driver tried to drive away. Deputy Hill was thrown away from the car onto the ground but managed to get off two (2) shots. A second car, which was following the first, then deliberately ran over Deputy Hill." He suffered serious injuries and died approximately one month later from a massive heart attack caused by a blood clot that formed after the incident.
