Description: Officer Harness was patrolling the roof of parking garage "C" when she noticed that the door of the elevator shaft was open. Officer Harness proceeded up the stairs to investigate and found an employee of the Montgomery Elevator Company checking the equipment. As Officer Harness walked down the stairs, she slipped and fell approximately 8 to 10 feet and landed head first on the concrete floor of the roof. Officer Harness was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and died the following day.
