Description: Deputy Sheriff Hagan suffered a fatal heart attack while searching for illegal moonshine stills in the back farm lands of Nelson County. Deputy Hagan was part of a search team that began searching in the back woods across rough terrain at approximately 1:00 p.m. After searching for a few hours, the team split and were scheduled to meet back at the police vehicles. When Deputy Hagan failed to arrive, the officers searched and located his body in the woods.
