Description: Captain Hansel was killed in an automobile accident while on patrol. Captain Hansel's patrol unit struck the back of a coal truck on US 119 in the town of Dione. Captain Hansel was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Patchy fog, wet road conditions, and very low visibility were all factors in this accident.
