Description: Deputy Hardy, accompanied by two railroad policemen, were at the Weverton Station searching for hobos. Deputy Hardy was by himself at one end checking one of the boxcars when he was shot twice by a man who was hiding inside. Deputy Hardy died at the scene. The suspect was arrested.
