Description: Police Officers Herron and Joseph Grill were in pursuit of two stolen SUVs when their patrol van was struck broadside at an intersection by another police van that was also responding. Officer Grill died at the scene. Officer Herron was transported to the hospital where he died. Two other officers were injured in the automobile crash but survived. Two suspects, one of them a 15 year old juvenile, were arrested. The juvenile received a four year sentence. The second suspect received a sentence of 9-29 years in prison. Inadvertent Action.
