Description: Trooper Holmes was killed in an automobile accident as he attempted to pursue a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. As Trooper Holmes activated his emergency lights and attempted to enter the crossover, his patrol vehicle collided with a tractor trailer who tried to take evasive action to avoid the accident. Both vehicles landed in the median. Trooper Holmes was pronounced dead at the scene.
