Description: Officer Hakaim was working in the police radio room when another officer suddenly went berserk and started firing his .38 caliber service weapon at Patrolman Haikam and another officer, striking them both. The officer was apprehended in the hallway outside of the radio room by other officers. The second officer was shot five times but survived by his wounds. The suspect was diagnosed as mentally insane and sent to a mental institution for several years.
